Where does my message actually go?
Nowhere. It's saved in your browser's local storage on this device. There's no server, no database, no account. We couldn't read it if we tried.
What if I clear my browser data or switch phones?
Then the vault on that browser is gone. That's why every sealed message comes with a link: the whole message is packed inside it. Save the link somewhere safe and it works on any device, forever.
Can I cheat and read it early?
Technically, yes. The lock is a promise between you and you, not encryption. If you go digging through developer tools, that's on your conscience.
Can I send one to a friend?
Yes. Send them the link. They'll see a countdown until the date, then the letter. They can save it to their own vault too.
Is it really free?
Really. There's nothing to pay for. It's a static page and some JavaScript.
